A strange creature with no proper name, instead called names like "White Bug Monster" or something along the lines of that. It's rumored that it came from an alternate timeline where the strange creatures of the Cambrian period never died out and were able to evolve into more complex lifeforms, but nobody knows if that's true or not. Many still believe it's the more normal idea of it just being an alien that happens to bear similarities to Cambrian animals, perhaps because the prehistoric sea creatures are strange enough to be considered aliens themselves, even though they still lived on our own planet.
