Pugnator-class patrol craft

The Pugnator-class (meaning Fighter in Latin) is the Roman attempt at making a swift, fighter sized patrol craft that can be deployed cheaply in swarms against an enemy force. With this class of craft, they're well armoured for their size with light armament, designed to be a small target that can harass larger enemies or take on similarly lightly armoured targets. The ship is well armoured for protection whilst two light laser cannons allow it to take on poorly armed/armoured pirate craft within its own system.

Whilst not the largest or most powerful patrol craft in the Roman arsenal, it's fast and mobile, capable of performing routine patrol stops or doing light combat tasks. It's well armoured for the size due to the mass of armour at the rear and all around, and the laser blasters are able to cut through unarmoured craft rapidly. It is suitable for a new pilot due to costing less than 75,000.
