Introducing Day Number 05, the ’Octavian’ - Deepcore Miner

“Talk with any Belt miner at a bar for more than five minutes and they’ll tell you “we got a real tough job” (and yes, in that exact accent you just imagined). The simple fact is, they don't - they drift around all day in heated cabins as glorified cargo haulers and call it tough. Now Deepcore mining - now that's a whole other story my friend…

We work 80 hour weeks in sweltering heats of up to 100 Fahrenheit in the subterranean levels below Teal. Now I cannot lie, the pay is good, like really good; but that doesn’t take away from the danger - only makes it tolerable. We lose 10 miners a week due to cave-ins, lack of Canary usage and even other miners - some spacer put the holomap upside down and ploughed into another guy's trail..

Anyway I’m getting off track, my point is, I fly these things for a living, and it's absolutely criminal that you guys are arresting me for being just sliiightly over the limit! I didn’t even go that far!”
