Description
Comrade Ti_ presented us with the 17th version (not yet the final update of the 17th revision) of the mega-hack and this is what has been changed:

New:
+ New cars - Thunder (Hem6), Savage (Terra) and the not secret Phoenix (Valhalla).
+ Support for horizontal resolution from 320 to 448 (so-called widescreen)
+ Tournament modes: players versus AI, where the AI itself manages the purchase.
+ Added 1 player 3x3 option to classic playthrough modes.

Graphic arts:
+ updated graphics for new planets (Terra, Amphibius, Valhalla, Antarzis, Sigma).
+ Reworked Inferno graphics - closer to the SNES version.
+ Sidewinder graphics have been updated.
+ In the spare parts purchase menu there is a gray background for Air Blade and Havac, like other cars. Revager's background has been updated.
+ Improved one of the new pictures in the intro.
+ Fixed the position of supports for T-blocks with heights different from 1.
+ New portraits of Vinnie and Jim.

Improvements:
+ Display the total characteristics of the vehicle + character in the upgrades menu.
+ Added highlighting for vehicle respawn depending on alliances and direction of movement.
+ More accurate calculation of speeds (corrects when, at some values of top speed, the actual speed of movement was the same, and corrects incorrect rams).
+ To more accurately determine who finished first, sorting by coordinates has been added if 2 or more players touch the finish line at the same time.
+ Added the ability to restart a division during the playthrough.
+ Displays a text message when driving in the wrong direction.
+ The logic of Larry/messages in the wrong direction has been improved; now it also works when hitting the next checkpoints+2 (in the original only the previous ones).
+ When selecting the VS.PLAYER mode - the inscriptions classic/mixed/new/random instead of difficulty modes, which corresponds to changes in the sets of tracks.
+ Unavailable modes are now grayed out (unless joystick splitters are connected).
+ Reduced the likelihood of falling through sharp corners of curbs in some places (intersection, T-block).
+ Displays money greater than a million (does not increase the password limit).

AI:
+ Uses jumping against all types of bullets, rather than reacting to a shot (on rookie - the old AI is left).
+ AI has a separate timer for loss of control when hit, rather than an oil timer (now AI can be knocked off the springboard like a player)..
+ 2x4 master cars:5 passing mode is easier - no constantly improved AI turns.
+ AI activates the shield after receiving damage from 1 scatterpack.
+ A delay of 1 frame has been added to the AI for the response to turning on the shield against bullets.
+ Changed the ally proximity check for the Sandog AI (now uses them more often).
+ AI - does not press nitro while turning if there is an ally in front of him.


And much more.
Just like this is an update to version 16, all new content from previous versions will also be added to the updated version 17.
