A corvette developed by DSI, the Signal-Class is a series of star-ships dedicated to deep infiltration guerrilla warfare. With a lighter chassis, an overall smaller profile, but a comparable loadout to the Index-Series otherwise, these ships are perfect for stealth operations against larger installations and starcraft.

Signal-Class ships are primarily designed for space, but a mix of Ion and Hydrogen thrusters, as well as an optional VTOL package, ensure that if a mission dictates it, the ship can move within atmosphere.

This is the MK-I chassis of Signal-Series of ships, taking heavy inspiration from the Index-Series, specifically the MK-II chassis of that line. Lighter, slightly more maneuverable, and primarily designed for one to two crew members, the Signal-Series was originally meant as a more affordable version of the Index-Series, sacrificing much of its offensive power more speed and a smaller profile. Instead, it gained a standing comparable to its sister series, known for its use by several para-military organizations across the cosmos. Armed with an automated loadout of 2 artillery turrets and 10 assault cannon turrets, as well as a proprietary loadout of 4 rocket pods, the Signal-Series can deal a significant amount of damage. However, because of its lack of anti-fighter weaponry, its performance against smaller craft leaves much to be desired.

This particular craft is the "Unto Midnight." Serving in the Two Year War on the side of the Gaia Federation, she earned a reputation as a fierce combatant, with an impressive Shot Down record of 513 ships. Her pilots still remain unknown, kept under heavy wraps by the Gaia Federation at the end of Two Year War. Rumor has it, however, that the two people responsible for piloting the "Unto Midnight," now roam the stars as part of an independent mercenary group. The ship itself has been relegated to more mundane patrol operations, now that the war is over.

Note: Two mods were used in the making of this craft, though they are entirely optional. This craft is perfectly serviceable without them.

[VSI] Recolorable Thrusters by Darkmist was used to change the color of all thrusters to the light blue glow seen in the thumbnail.

Adjustable Thruster Multipliers by Meridius_IX / Lucas was used to increase braking performance by a factor of 1.5x.
