Introducing Day Number 22, the ’Mariana’ - AVF Artillery-boat

“Serving at the backline of the AVF fleet, the Mariana is a small but vital part of the navy's stratagem. Otherwise lightly armed and armoured, and not particularly manoeuvrable, the Mariana seems to be a very resource intensive vessel, featuring a large fusion reactor that most frigates would not possess - this however is due to the dual mounted railguns situated on the dorsal side that make the ship worth every credit.

Whilst the rest of the fleet brawl in close quarters, the artillery-boat sits at the back, firing long range salvo’s from afar before using its main drive to burn to a new position and repeat. The reactor allows for a recharge rate unseen on most ships of such a weight class, allowing 6 slugs to be fired a minute. This fact alone makes the Mariana as mentioned before; expensive but worth the cost - with AVF shipyards commissioned to add another 40 to the front by the next solar rotation.”
