.....In 1945 "national redoubt" was the English term used to describe the possibility that German dictator Adolf Hitler and armed forces of Germany (Wehrmacht) would make a last stand in the alpine areas of Austria and Bavaria in the closing months of World War II in Europe. In German this concept was called the Alpenfestung (Alpine Fortress). Although there was some German military planning for a stand in the Alpine region, it was never fully endorsed by Hitler and no serious attempt was made to put the plan into operation.It was a Myth.....and the War was ending 1945.

Great map design. Unfortunately in AI matches the bot hardly guards the upper corner of the map, leqving it completelly open for an attack. Also the map is fairly large and lot of snow

I think there's a map of this on an old mod called "Forgotten Hope" for Battlefield 1942, it has the Maus tank, T-95 super heavy tank, ME262's and other prototype aircraft/tanks too. Seeing this in COH workshop makes me happy reliving an old experience i've had. :cozyroe3:

Yes - i made a Generaly Update to all my Older maps - Higher pop cap makes no more sence sice you can change it by any kind of mods , and coh is anyway only playeble with mods because of the completly destroyd ballance by relic ! Latest the Usa Fraction and there unbeliveble unfair and shitty Startbase was destroying any kind of Ballance in the Game !
:critical:Use Pop cap mods or the best mod of the game who change anything to the perfect ballance and much better gameplay : COH Improved Mod by Lt.Clifforth ........
:shsword:It includes pop cap and also unlimeted heavys and also Arty on Bases possible againe and much more , just find it on the workshop and read...and HF with it !

If there is higher pop cap on a Map directly ( ID - Scar ) then you can not change it anymore and with Mods you also can play pop cap 300 or 500 or 125 :)

Whenever I run the map it has a pop cap of 100 not 200 is there a reason these additions arent taking affect? is there a mod you use because i currently dont use any for the map?

Hey 'Orklord',

I absoutely lover your map design! The detail is amazing. Big fan of your work. I've enjoyes 'Alpenfestung' for hours and hours. The whole atmospehere is simply perfect. Just subscribed to 5 more maps by you. Can't wait to try them.
