Paladin Gunship Starter (Model-C Alternative)

The Paladin is available from the start at builder level. Can be upgraded to Mk-IV so far..

Cannons are not great at the start compared to laser weapons. but, this is a model C alt so here we go.

Mk-I
Requires:

Crew: 12 Redshirts
Cost: 72,968

Pick your battles early as the cannons are quite inaccurate. you want to get up close and personal with the paladin as shes a brawler type ship. We'll be focusing on armour and PD instead of shields early on as we will mostly be within disruptor range. Watch your ammo and I would build a cargo ship early on to help with upgrading.


Mk-II
Requires:
Top speed: 81.1 M/s
Crew: 12 Redhirts
Cost: 81,838

Added Ammo storage and two point defence laser at the front with some added armour. Doubled up on the standard main thrusters at the rear to compensate for the extra weight. Also added two small thrusters for better lateral movement.

Mk-III
Requires: Disrupters
Top speed: 83.0 M/s
Crew: 16 Redshirts
Cost: 100,338

Added two Disputers up front, more crew quarters and two point defence at the rear.

Mk-IV
Requires: Large Thruster, Cannon ammo factory, Missile & Mine launcher
Top speed: 82.6 M/s
Crerw: 28 Redshirts.
Cost: 193,260

Changed the layout of the ship for better logistics. Added Ammo factory with sulfur storage and two missile launchers at the rear with missile storage. Also added more armour at the front to protect the cockpit.

(Be careful around this level i died couple times to a tier 3 ship I forget the name. It has 4 cannons and 2 disruptors. I can take out all but one cannon by which time he ate though the hull and hit the cockpit. UPGRADE TO Mk-V BEFORE TAKING ON THIS SHIP!)
