I felt kind of bad leaving those turrets bouncing around for eternity, calling out for help. But I did it anyway.

There are four ways to deal with the turrets. You can (1) walk along in front of them, grab the first one through the grating, and use it to knock the rest of them over without a single shot being fired, or (2) douse them with repulsion gel. On the other hand you can just portal to the surface right in front of the redirection cube and grab it without even exposing yourself to the turrets, and then either (3) burn them all with the laser, or (4) just ignore them and complete the test.
