VILC-Variable Industrial Limited Company

VILC —— Variable Industrial Limited Company began as a gathering of trash pickers who called themselves historians to discuss "salvage of waste" and trade scraps which still have a little value. Until one day scavengers, or the founders of Variable Industrial Limited Company, found something unusual on a barren planet in a remote galaxy —— a memorizer with a very different durability than it appears. The information in the memorizer is encoded in a way that ancient humans have not leave Earth, but the information it records does not seem to come from ancient Earth. It depicts a universe without stargates and faster-than light, and the size of galaxies is counted in billions of kilometers. Of course, it also brings some new technologies to the scavengers:high-power electric wires, more automation, etc. The scavengers relied on these new technologies as the basis for moving into the mining industry and earning some capital for the establishment of easy number industries. With the accumulation of capital and technology, they gradually began to participate in the military industry to produce their own warships.

VILC - Variable Industrial Limited Company began as a team of runaway explorers who thought they were historians and left their families in the Centauri Imperium to explore the uninhabited barren galaxy. Everything began with an expedition to a barren planet in a remote star system, when explorers discovered a man-made memory at the bottom of a natural rift.
The information in the memory uses a kind of encoding similar to that used by ancient humans who lived on Earth, but the information it records does not seem to come from ancient Earth, and it depicts a completely different universe: In that universe, the size of star systems is measured in billions of kilometers, the distance between celestial bodies is measured in the speed of light, there are countless races of people who have crossed over from their home planet, and the flame of civilization lights up every star it meets. Exploration, encounter, communication, competition, war, destruction, evolution, and after all this life has found its own eternity, extraordinary technology that makes the universe no longer secret to them. At the end of the story is a grand stargate - one that looks as if it could connect to other universes.
The story recorded in the memory has ended, and the story of the explorers is about to begin, whether it is another universe or a stargate that can lead to other universes is attractive enough, and the existence of this suspected memory from the "other side" is representing that the "door" may have been opened to its own universe, or even remain open. The explorers hope to find it. In order to obtain faster and stronger ships, the explorers chose to return to their families in the Empire's occupied galaxy and formed VILC together, hoping to accumulate capital through mining for better exploration. Now, the business content of VILC has been more than mining, they began to try to build "civilian" combat ships and try to sell them - because of the lack of combat experience and insufficient design level, the performance of warships is very low, the company's sales director proposed to mark the ship with a ”civilian“ label to try to convince rich people to buy, although the effect is not ideal. At the same time, VILC has also started a business of imitating the four most powerful factions in the current civilization, although these powerful forces have not explicitly banned the practice, but many in the company believe that this business may be risky.
