描述
Overview
Makes all rooms count as being adjacent with all other rooms. This lets you staff Workshop GREMLINs in any room's engineer staff slots.

Configuration
<Steam>\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\3129029279\Config\XComGameData.ini

You can change the adjacency config if you don't want completely full freedom. Example config included for cardinal+diagonal adjacency.

Run this console command to update the adjacencies if they didn't update automatically when you installed the mod the first time or you are changing config after mod has already been active in your game:
Zelf_UpdateRoomAdjacencies

Compatibility
Adjacency information will be updated automatically if added while in strategy. If added while on mission you need to run the console command when you get back on the Avenger.

Works with GREMLINs from Combined Workshop and Laboratory as it is actually just using the vanilla Workshop staff slot for its engineer slots.

How to remove
Removal from a saved game where this mod has been active will require extra work if you want to get rid of the extended adjacencies:

1. Remove the mod's config in XComGameData.ini
2. Start up the game and load your save
3. Run the console command mentioned above
4. Save the game and quit
5. Disable the mod
6. (Use Remove Missing Mods to remove the warning about the mod missing)

Known issues
  • Core Room Slots engineer slots in Research can't be staffed with GREMLINs due to the UI not using the normal drop down list for that and therefore only showing actual engineers. Will work together otherwise.

Notes
The room adjacency mechanic isn't used by the game for anything else but mods could potentially do something with it and if you have such a mod you should probably not use this mod.

Workshops and equivalent facilities providing GREMLINs when staffed can't be staffed by GREMLINs. This is intended by the game.

I hardly ever toss awards out, but this mod, yeah. 100% game changer. I've been using this since it came out, and would NEVER go back to the default.

It never made a lick of sense to me other than 'gamey-restrictions' to add to Bradford's incessant yammering. (Which ALSO no longer happens thanks to mods. Heh.):steamthumbsup:

5/5, does exactly what it says and seems to work with every other mod on here. I have tossed this into a few big mod sets and it never fails to do the job :steamthumbsup:

Okay, I'm playing my first campaign with this mod...and I LOVE it! No more waiting to build engineer-staffed facilities until they line up with my workshop. Thanks again.

I've restarted runs because the debris were in a spot that meant I couldn't put my ring facility in the right place. this is perfect.

@Zelfana You know, I think I might have. I added the mod, let AML/steam download it and then started the game...and yeah, I DID load the prior day's save which was a mission. When I finished that and returned to the Strat layer it didn't work. The script to activate worked aces though, so thank you for that. :steamhappy::steamhappy:

Did you add the mod while on mission? I probably need to mention that caveat in the description if you did.
