  • This map is large and filled with custom content, the loading time might be higher, please be patient.

Hello, Fregiscard here, it's been 2 years since my last map release, a lot has happened and a lot of projects for Garry's mod sadly didn't make into the light. But, today I present to you to start this year of 2024 with a good smile, a new map made from scratch.

This map is the accumulation of 1 year of work, frustrating confrontation with engine bugs and moment of satisfactions after creating anything and progressing. Over the year I spent a lot of time learning about level design and the Source engine as a whole, and encounter a lot of good hearted people along the way.

I hope you will enjoy this project, and see you in some month for some smaller projects to cool down from this one. Maybe a sequel of gm_toxicair could be the next thing.. who know ?

On a side not, the current map doens't have any cubemap for the weird and unsatisfying result it yield.
There are currently some issues that will be fixed after an update, this update will also come with a new map event and rooms.

Content of the map:

The map started as a simple Horde gamemode map to survive against zombie located in the outskirt of City-17 after the events of Half-Life 2 Episode 2, but overtime it evolved to something greater and larger, it went from City-137, to City-33 until City-27 nowdays.
  • A whole city area with drivable roads, with hospital, metro subway, stores, apartments, courtyard, garages and overtaken combine nexus.
  • Two outlands area for escaping the repressive regime, hosting an abandonned village, a scrapcamp, a gas station, a mining facility and a lakehouse mansion.
  • A whole underground networks of tunnels, maintenance corridors and sewers.
  • A combine underground facility hosting combine soldier in the making and an juvenile advisor.
  • Dynamics and manuals environmental events
  • Fully ai noded and navmeshed.
  • Dev room for multiples options
  • An immersive 3D skybox
Map events:

For the map to fill alive and realistic, multiple scenic events take place whenever the player make an input or not, here are the currents events on the map:
  • Over passing helicopter - Dynamic
  • Underground crabsynth - Dynamic
  • Combine wall - Dynamic
  • Underground razortrain - Dynamic
  • Advisor pod opening & closing - Manual
  • Judgment waiver / City alert - Manual (Second floor of the warehouse)
  • Uprising ambiant - Manual (Devroom)

Some events can be disabled from the devroom, more options will come with updates.

@Fregiscard At the moment, I can see that there are no nodes on the map at all. So there is no point in these commands.

I tested on my side if both ai nodes & navmeshes were working, and in both instance with "ai_show_connect" and "nav_edit 1", both networks are showing up. So perhaps, something with your enabled addons might mess with ai nodes, and probably break them, hope this is helping :p

@Fregiscard I go to the map and they just don't exist. I'm looking through the instrument. He doesn't lie to anyone. However, I did not prescribe the command, but I am sure that the nodes will still be missing.

When using the console command "ai_show_connect", no nodes are appearing ? If nothing appear, probably the nodes broke over the Gmod updates.
