With growing threats the ESDF command decided a new type of ship was needed and so the Yamato class was greenlit.
The Yamato class battleship is built for 1 single purpose...to fight, as such the Yamato doesn't have any luxury you would normally find on ESDF vessels and this is by design as the entire hull is used for the ships power, thruster and weapons systems leaving the bridge as the only place to put any form of comfort.
