This is not mine. I am just uploading this to the Steam Workshop for preservation, as I found this off the now defunct garrysmods.org website, and would like anyone who plays GMod to enjoy this addon.

Description

This addon is an NPC version of the classic stormtrooper model that was made by Captain Charles. I unfortunately do not know who the original author of this NPC was, but if they see this, I would like to credit them. Anyway, this NPC was programmed to initially behave in a similar fashion to the Combine NPCs from Half-Life 2, and can be equipped with any kind of weapon; from the crowbar to the stun stick to blasters from Star Wars, and even lightsabers! And with the use of the Extended Properties addon, you can turn this NPC friendly! (Keep in mind that, once you turn it friendly, it won't follow you in a squad like common GMod NPCs.)

Interesting side note, the stormtrooper model in this mod, and Captain Charles' Star Wars Stormtroopers addon is based off of the stormtrooper model(s) from the Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed!

VJ Blaster when equipped can mostly use it, but has the occassional T-pose, not sure if it's because it's a VJ weapon their equipped with and their not VJ base npcs maybe? Think when I tested other blasters from a Star Wars Battlefront pack I encountered the same issue, but I haven't tested it in a while. Further testing required again with different weapons in the future maybe. It's a A-pose specifically they occasionally go into.

I am having t posing issues now with it for some reason when using weapons, I just need to diagnose the problem as it may be an issue on my end. I need to find myself some nice proper Star Wars Npc specific built weapons and try that.

Really interesting and one of the first npcs on here of it's kind to actually be on metrocop code instead of combine code, makes them able to pursue with pistols, stunsticks as well as shooting from the hip with firearms which is more realistic of their nature.

Great storm trooper mod! Though when using spawner mods, it's class name is not custom, still named after metropolice/metrocop when using spawners. Not a big deal just a minor detail.

Glad you like this mod! I really wanted to preserve another piece of GMod history by posting this historic gem of a mod to the workshop, since the two original mod sites for the game are no longer around

What I like about it is the model looks good, and its a lightweight storm trooper npc addon, legit all I am looking for, thank you! Nice and new in terms of recent upload too which means it's likely less buggy, no requirements meaning less mod bloat and errors etc.

The other ones out there are rather malfunctional or too involved in terms of bloating your game.
