Description
Did you lose your 10-hour run, cause you "just fast forwarded too much"? Lost game to despair, cause didn't pay attention when reading through your's stash of books? Well... pay more attention next time... or install this mod.

What this does?

It changes season of despair and season of visions, that so they will first try to grab your passion or reason (respectively) and consume them. You will lose your attribute, but will live to see another day. You will only succumb to death, when there is no attribute to grab.

Basically, you are getting "extra lives". This obviously makes the game easier, but you still need to live with some consequences.

Requirements
No DLC or mod required.

Compatibility
This mod modifies only the last event of Season of Despair and Season of Visions, so will work with any mod, unless they modify those.

Not compatible with Season of Balance (won't crash, but will just do nothing)

Mod development / Planned Features
I have few things in mind to expand this mod for. So far i plan to:
  • Add setting in game options, that will change difficulty of mod (for example harder difficulty, that will cause consuming reason to only extend time of event, instead of ending it).
  • Compatibility with Season of Balance and Damage Ability Instead (will probably make thigs waaay to easy, but well, you can play whatever you want).
  • Some polishing and balancing

There is mod called "Damage Attributes Instead", that gives you damaged version of attributes instead of destroying them. I am intended to make compatibility patch for it, but need to figure out some more stuff first. Just got into modding this game.

I think making it so that it damages ability instead is nice. I wish one of those mods made it so that the damaged ability produced by the fascination buildup worked like a notoriety or created a notoriety. This way, the incentive is not to heal for the sake of healing but to avoid your madness being found out. and with dread, it could lead to a wound (caused by reckless behaviour flavor-wise). I like the idea that reason's absence causes suspicion and passion's absence causes harm.
