Welcome to Ruler Portraits!

I've always felt the depth of EU4's rulers and their families has been extremely lacking. They're just lines of text who are disinherited if they're not a 6/6/6. Heck, even the advisors are more fleshed out!

So I decided to change that. From the gfx archives of CK2, I have compiled the best looking portraits for the rulers, heirs, and consorts.

This mod adds:
– A portrait for every ruler, heir, and consort in the game.
– Portraits that age with the individual.
– Different portraits for republics and theocracies.
– Different portraits for Christians and muslims.
– A reworked court interface

I have always wanted this for EU4, so I hope you enjoy this too!

Q: Is this Ironman compatible?
A: Unfortunately NOT

Q: Does this mod work with...?
A: It depends. If the other mod changes the interface, no. If it doesn't, it should work.

Q: Portrait variations/historical portraits when?
A: Probably after the Non-Europeans.

Q: Am I going to use AI for image generation?
A: Hey, who knows?

Currently, we are on patch 1.2 (see updates below).

UPDATE v1.2 "Sword of Islam"
– Adds new portraits for Muslim monarchs, heirs, and consorts.
– Different headgear between government ranks.
– Muslim child heir portraits.

UPDATE v1.1 'Regalia'
– Adds imperial and royal crowns for monarchs, consorts, and heirs.
– Expanded frames for Muslims, Tribal Monarchies, and the Emperor of China.
– The "infertile" trait prevents males from having beards.
– Negative traits add a double chin.
– Reworked coding (fyi modders)

Africans on the way! I will be sure to add portraits for non-Europeans as soon as I have the time (soon tm).

Also, there is only one model per gender used (the best looking one imo) so please bear with it. (If I can find a way to change that I will).
