Vosberg DVII

The Vosberg DVII was a late WW1 era Aircraft designed during the The Great War during the Winter/spring of 1917 by Blenheim Vossberg.

It first saw limited combat use over the west sawyer islands during the last months of 1918. During those few months it was in service it proved to be an incredible dogfighter with a powerful 3 cylinder engine able to propel it up to speeds exceeding 230 Km/H in level flight.

With a powerful armament of two 7.92mm MG/09 machine guns mounted on top of the upper wing and a state of the art reflex sight. The incredible armament and engine combined with the large elevator and low mounted wings gave it incredible maneuverability which proved to be a critical ability that gave it an edge in dogfights against entente fighters.

The Vosberg DVII was also given gauges with radium painted on to the face of the dials making the gauges glow in the dark and giving the pilot the ability to still see his gauges even in adverse lighting conditions



Note: Just like real Great War aircraft the Vossberg DVII has to be started by someone else on the ground. This is simulated by having the engine start button on the engine cowling on the right side of the aircraft. The parking brake is set to on and is placed in the floor of the cockpit to prevent the aircraft from rolling away while the engine is being started.
