Light rail tracks 750 mm

Description
Narrow gauge tracks especially for laying roadside, for interurbans and industrial railroads.

For cost reasons, less important railway lines and sidings and of course trams were often built next to existing roads - attractive scenarios that were unfortunately difficult to implement in Transport Fever 2. Standard tracks with a high ballast bed could be laid roadside using mods such as 'Parallel Tool' or 'Build with Collision', but unrealistically deep trenches were created at the edges of the bedding. On certain street types, this caused the pavement to hang in the air, and it also made it difficult to build near the sides. This mod provides a remedy. It contains three special track types with low bedding, wooden sleepers and/or reduced curve speed to simulate an imaginary lack of superelevation. All track types also have a very narrow minimum radius and a finer curve resolution as default, making them ideal for factory premises, too:
- provisionally walkable track, covered with grit up to just below the rail head, without bumper,
- normally ballasted track, but with low bedding that extends to just below the top edge of the sleeper, without bumper,
- standard track with normal-height ballast, also with reduced curve speed (except 60 km/h track), for real level crossings with a stop function (not possible for roadside track!) or private right-of-way.

Important notes:

- Either the mod '750mm & 1000mm tracks' from eis_os OR the mod 'NEP 750mm infrastructure pack' from various authors must be loaded.
- Only track types appear which are activated in the mod dialog at 'Advanced Game Settings'!
- For laying on streets or for pseudo level-crossings without a stop function, the tracks with low bedding must be lowered by 12 centimeters. The use of the tools mentioned above is essential for this.
- Only track types with high ballast are suitable for real level crossings - either the attached one or any other track type with a normal high ballast bed. The connection to low-bed tracks can only be made using the adapter included in this mod - which can be found in the 'Track Constructions' menu. Instead of using the [M] and [N] keys, the adapter build direction can be reversed using the buttons in the settings dialog.
- It is not known that modular light railway stations/platforms exist that are visually suitable for tracks with low bedding. Nevertheless, these tracks are already unlockable - if someone should become active in this way. ;-)
- In order to equip tracks with low bedding with bumpers, this mod includes a bumper as a track asset that can be snapped onto the track.
- Using NEP 750 mm tracks, the tracks of this mod adapt to them to achieve a consistent look.
- For compatibility with certain other mods, the real speed of the 40 km/h tracks is not 40, but 39 km/h. ;-)
- There are no visibly electrified tracks. On tracks with electrification selected, the masts and catenary wire are simply invisible.

Known issues:

- Laying low-bed tracks at a standard distance next to high-bed tracks, 'burying' or 'undercutting' of neighboring tracks occurs, depending on track speed. Using the adapter on parallel tracks is therefore a problem, too. In this case, the adapters must be placed exactly beside each other - comparable to the construction of multi-track bridges. Mods with a parallel track function such as 'Track Builder', 'Parallel Tool' or 'Auto Parallel Tracks' can also be helpful here.
- If alternative track mods are subsequently removed, undesirable changes can occur in the ground texture near the track.

Legal stuff:

Original components from UG are accessed, the rights of which are owned by the game manufacturer, as well as to third-party components with their rights. In particular, it concerns parts of the mods '750mm & 1000mm tracks' and 'NEP 750mm Infrastrukturpack' from various authors. The included adapter is based on an idea from Yoshi, who also allowed the use of his bumper. Thanks for this! Unauthorized distribution not permitted! Adoption of parts of my own content for the development of other mods permitted under cc-by-nc (attribution, non-commercial). Installation and use of all components at your own risk.
