P47 Thunderbolt Htown

Description
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt is a World War II-era fighter aircraft produced by the American company Republic Aviation from 1941 through 1945. It was a successful high-altitude fighter, and it also served as the foremost American fighter-bomber in the ground-attack role. Its primary armament was eight .50-caliber machine guns, and it could carry 5-inch rockets or a bomb load of 2,500 lb (1,100 kg). When fully loaded, the P-47 weighed up to 8 tons, making it one of the heaviest fighters of the war.

Yet another old creation for my WWII units also has ability to fly on autopilot to a GPS location and activate Autonomous track and fly. NOTE its pretty basic.

Have fun

The rudder is inop. you didn't hook up the logic to the tail

You also left a black spot on the aft fuselage

You did the exact same modification I did LOL. I also added fueling ports and vented the tanks for added performance

Ah, done an exhaust re-route to rear underbelly and a few little extras, enjoy 👍

Just flew it. Flies great now. one suggestion is to route the exhaust behind the camera. the real Thunderbolts exhaust was aft of the cockpit. That way its the gauges are clear of smoke. Here is a great article about it.

Awesome! I'm glad you are going back and reviving your old builds. They are awesome and really diamonds in the rough.

Resolved: The turbo was causing pressure issues. She revs low to keep heat down but can get up there pretty good with prop pitch reduced, fixed a few other things also.

Hmmm fuel pressure maybe? I'll look into it. She's pretty old. But a lovely gal

A nice model of the razorback thunderbolt but for some reason you can't fly it unless you have infinite fuel on.
