Description
Simple script for Garry's Mod. Prevents most entities from Half Life Source from spawning.

Very useful when you want to repurpose Half Life Source maps for your own uses.





Features:
  • cleanhl1 1 to prevent entities from spawning.

  • Enables you to play through all Half Life Source maps without the scripted NPCs, Weapons and other entities that typically spawn during playthroughs.

  • Best combined with Half-Life Resized Maps.

  • Can be used to enable the player to play through Half Life Source maps with his own enemies and weapons. Especially considering Half Life 1's campaign maps are vastly superior in the gameplay department when compared with Half Life 2's maps, which half of those are way too open with boring driving sections.

  • Will not remove the Hassassin NPC, for compatibility with another one of my addons.

  • Simple and very optimized code.




Limitations:
  • Will not remove Half Life 2 entities that spawn in Half Life Source maps.

  • Will render a few spots that require Scientists/Barneys inaccessible. You can use noclip.

i mean, im almost sure it wont prevent all of em, because some are just map entities, because hls devs couldnt even bother to update the map logic and just ported over some of em, based

Absolutely, but I don't see the point of doing it for Half Life 2 entities, as they're commonly used during gameplay.
