Description
QUOTES:

"There were over 5,000 people alive in Dubai, the day before you arrived... How many are alive today, I wonder? How many will be alive tomorrow? I thought my duty was to protect this city from the storm... I was wrong. I have to protect it from you."

- Konrad's speech during Walker's vision of Hell

"Home?... Hmph... We can't go home. There's a line men like us have to cross. If we're lucky, we do what's necessary and then we die. No... no, all I really want, Captain...is peace."

- Konrad's words to Walker in Kabul

"Jeremy-

Someday, people will tell you about your father.
For that, I'm sorry.

I love you,
Dad"

- Konrad's final letter to his son

IMPORTANT:
This mod adds a custom head and uses custom shaders - you MUST have X2WOTCCommunityHighlander installed when using mods with custom heads/shaders!

Mod Info:
This squadmate mod adds the tenacious, brave and ill-fated Colonel John Konrad from Spec Ops: The Line to your XCOM 2 campaign.

The cosmetic options provided include:
  • 1 Custom Head
  • 3 Torsos (1 default, 2 tinted)
  • 6 Arms (2 default, 4 tinted)
  • 3 Legs (1 default, 2 tinted)

**This aoutfit is male only (obviously)**

I always felt sympathy for Colonel Konrad, as (like Walker) he only had the best of intentions in evacuating and subsequently occupying Dubai; trying his best to save and protect the people from the sandstorms ravaging the area. Rather than cutting his losses and leaving the citizens of Dubai for dead, he and his men went rogue - defying his superiors' orders to abandon the city. When he finally realizes all the damage and loss of life his efforts have brought about, he lays the blame squarely on himself, and asks that the men under his command be pardoned if any of them are found alive. He wasn't a perfect person by any means, and had many flaws in his character, but in the end he was just a man who was trying to help those in need.

Not a lot of people will likely want to use this, however seeing as how crucial Konrad was to the plot of SO:TL, I felt obligated to port him over as a squadmate - just like Delta Force. In the words of the great Colonel himself, "I hope you like it."

Thank you for checking out my mod. Have a good day, and God bless.

Well you can use it as a dark/ADVENT VIP.

Understandable, I figured that would be the reason. I’m replaying the game right now and he looks very rough. He has a cool looking vest model.

he can be the designated mimic beacon of the squad to fit his appearance :)

Thanks man :)

Unfortunately, in McPherson's case, the only model for him in-game is bloodied and badly bruised. I'm not sure a lot of people would want to use him as a squadmate.

Fantastic work! He'll will lead my 33rd to a successful campaign God willing.

Will you be doing First Lieutenant John McPherson?
