Description
I am not very good with thumbnails.

Did you know that on versions from the 2009 launch to roughly late 2010/early 2011, bots used to be able to use melees? Why this was changed is uncertain (likely because bots hardly ever used it, more about that below), but the capacity was there, and still is.
This mod re-enables the ability for a bot to use a melee weapon, if that's all you care to know you don't need to read any more, otherwise more details are below.
All things listed are for the sake of parity with release functionality, other AI mods already do this and better, so if you're considering this you probably want it for this reason.

Some things to know:
- Only one bot will use a melee weapon.
- If one player (even in solo play) grabs a melee weapon, the bot will swap back off onto pistols, meaning melee users won't experience any difference.
- The melee weapon the bot uses is determined by the first melee weapon the bot sees, meaning unless you cycle it (grab a melee, let the bot pick up a pistol, swap the melee out for a pistol again) the bot stays with that melee for the whole campaign.
- The way the bot determines when to use its melee is the exact same as when the bot determines to use its pistols. This means that Riflemen types (Bill, Louis, Nick, and Rochelle) will only use melees if their primaries run out. Shotgunner types (Francis and Coach) will use their melee if the aforementioned happens OR an enemy is too far away to engage with a shotgun. Sniper types (Zoey and Ellis) will use their melee if out of ammo or if an enemy is too close to engage with a sniper.
- The above means that the melee will be seldom used for most bots, but sees the most use and viability out of Sniper bots, who are infamously ♥♥♥♥ and swap to their pistols in almost every encounter.
- Bots when using melee do not chase, there is a setting for enabling that called "sb_melee_approach_victim" but this convar was not included in release versions, and was added around the same time bots using melees was removed.
- It is untested if bots will grab a chainsaw if the chainsaw is the first melee it runs across, so there's something to try out :).

It goes without saying that this is redundant with AI improvement mods, because those usually have a better implementation of this mod. This mod is designed for use with the vanilla AI, the dopey ones that aren't very good. It also doesn't work in servers that don't host this mod, so all official dedicateds and any community servers without this mod don't work, so if you want to use it in co-op you'll need to host your own server.
