Frankenturret

Description
Portal 2 is required
Attempt to make an accurate frankenturret
Can be found in Entities > Portal 2

This uses the prop_monster_box classname, so any Portal 2 map using this entity should have it show up

rewritten in lua based on decompiled p2 code by the P2ASW team, check them out here: https://github.com/EpicSentry/P2ASW/

ConVars:
sv_monster_turret_velocity - "The amount of velocity the monster turret tries to move with."

Todo:
* add box functionality (BecomeBox/BecomeMonster)
* add shortcircuit functionality
* airborne anim

Hey conneath, since you seem to be good with glua and porting stuff to gmod, I'm curious if ur interested in helping out with an portal 2 map compatibility fix addon that me and some others are working on?

if you have Portal 2 installed then its probably a bug with mounting other source games on macos

hey uh, tried spawning it in gm_construct and it pops up as an error model. Would it have anything to do with me being on mac? I've only recently just learned that that can cause issues

this is a very accurate recreation, hell even works in portal 2 maps like expected to.

wish that someone would make an accurate portal gun but that would probably just never happen.

Don't know if this is intentional, but the frankenturret can move up in air.
