Description
Ichtyids were living as nomadic tribes raiding both underwater settlements of mermen and tritons and coastal cities of Berytos. After they slaughtered one remarkably large Shark Tribe triton settlement, ichtyids found the Great Shark Totem constructed from coral, bones, shells, and gems. Every fish that laid its gaze upon the totem became fascinated and attracted to it. Ichtyids weren't exempt from this lure. Some shamans started hearing the voice of the totem, it told them to unite, because there were much more powerful nations under the sea and on the surface. This is when the ichtyids became the most ardent followers of the Shark Cult. Where the Shark Tribe tritons sharpened their teeth, ichtyids wielded sharktooth weapons and wore sharkskin armor that could transform them into some hybrid beasts. When a Pelagian ambassador came to them and asked to join their kingdom, ichtyids killed him and declared themselves a new nation named Lentia.

Man, this brings back some old memories. When Dominions 4 got released, I was blown away by how much the sprites have improved, and the best improvement, in my opinion, was the ichtyid sprite. Thus, as my first Dominions 4 mod, I decided to make an ichtyid nation because I love ichtyids and I love underwater nations/creatures. Underwater gameplay is something that sold Dominions 3 to me back in the day. I know that being an underwater fan is a very unpopular opinion nowadays, but I can't help it.

v1.0d

v1.0c
Dragon Shark now has a magic bite

Neat concept, a few things seem to need tuning though. These ichytids should have at least one unit with poison resist, more importantly, the commanders need their gold cost reduced across the board, and adding more unique traits to the commanders would be good as well (a la Pelagia). Fun idea though.

I really like ichtyids too. Was kind of disappointed the giant ichtyid was a pop killer, but it tots-mcgoats makes sense.Would have liked a Dom 1 ichtyid pretender chassis.

I think ichtyid pop types should count as a friendly tribe to get that discount when hiring PD.

Would have liked to have seen scaleless militia or some variation instead of the default ichtyids.

Lacks some surprise or a pop, maybe a coastal recruitment type of some sort.

one of my favorite mod nations, so glad you're still at it bro, fellow aquatic and ichtyid fan here, this nation is good enough to be in the real game and in my heart it's canon

Good catch! I'll have to fix that.

Just putting this here as a few people have not given any of there underwater nations any dark vision and Lentia has some struggles with both the pretenders you added not having any (my Titan ended up getting crippled due to being hit more than I wanted fighting in deep sea vs Indies sad times)

Hm, I don't know, it works fine for me. My only guess would be making sure there's water on your map.

Ability to select nation is grayed out. How do we fix?
