Description
Game version 0.26.0+

Place one or more Nitro Tank next to a Boost Thruster to improve it.
- +90% thruster force while boosting. While not, it's dead weight.
- Also reduces fuel consumption while boosting, but that can never reach 0, to avoid infinite boost.
- These bonuses stack (unlike engine rooms) : For example 3 Nitro Tanks give +270% while boosting and make it last longer than 1 Nitro.
- Fragile. When destroyed, very small explosion.
- Needs no power but consumes sulfur slowly. Needs no crew but they can pass through one half.
- Balanced for base game.
- Must be unlocked.




Rationale
I got real bored of seeing the same thruster setup on every ship starting at a pretty low size, and realized Boost Thrusters are completely outclassed by Huge Thrusters, while they both can be unlocked at the same time, meaning it should be a sidegrade. It costs almost the same Tristeel to build, creates a much longer zone you can't build in, and has a bad shape for the Engine Room (you can't put more of these in 1 direction than Huge thrusters). So I gave poor Boost Thrusters an edge specific to them : a boost for their boost.

In the first gifs, Left ship = 2 Huge thrusters + engine room | Right ship = 2 Boost thrusters with various numbers of Nitros.

-Now slowly consumes sulfur over time and doesn't work if out of sulfur.
-No longer costs sulfur to build.
-Stats are now displayed.
-Boost Thruster stats display has been restored.

Roadmap
-Real art (this in-game chaingun magazine art was the only correct size and door access but at least i scribbled an icon). I would have drawn it, but this took way longer than I expected and the weekend's over.
-Supposed to consume sulfur over time, needing refills from time to time.
-Fix bugs.
-Any extra balancing.

Glad you like it. I don't mod Cosmoteer these days but there are other people making similarly balanced mods, I hope you'll find and enjoy those too.
