Description
Updated for patch 6.0.5

I have not revisited the mod since the 6.0 Greenskins DLC patch. If I feel inspired, I might come back to this mod to integrate some of the new stuff into it, but for now this mod is in maintenance mode. I have not fully playtested it. If there are any bugs or issues, please let me know in the comments.

Books of Nagash for Azhag

Adds the Books of Nagash quests to Azhag the Slaughterer, allowing him to collect a variety of Vampire-inspired upgrades for himself and his Waaagh!
  • First Book - An improved Rabble-Rouse for Black Orc Bosses, an adaptation of Red Fury for Goblin Big Bosses and Lesser Raise Dead (but with zombie orcs) for spellcasting heroes
  • Second Book - Campaign line of sight over all Greenskins faction leaders, and The Hunger for all Orc Lords, Heroes and units
  • Third Book - The target of a Waaagh will be hit by a sandstorm, which Azhag will gain immunity to, and sacking/occupying a settlement generates a unit of Zombie Boyz
  • Fourth Book - Unlocks Master of the Black Arts as well as the entire Lore of Vampires for Azhag
  • Fifth Book - Completing a Waaagh! will add Vargheists, Varghulfs and Terrorgheists to your Waaagh! unit rewards
  • Sixth Book - Unlocks recruitment of the Deff Shaman (a Shaman with a mixed, modular Vampire lore) and the Giant Sea Troll Hag
  • Seventh Book - Unlocks a variety of Cursed Scrap Upgrades, that will give certain Greenskin units access to Vampire unit abilities (at a small cost)
  • Eighth Book - Improves all Waaagh! trophy effects by 50%

F.A.Q., Disclaimer & Credits
Q: Does this support multiplayer?
A: No, and I have no plans to make it so.

Q: Is this compatible with Rhox's Wandered and Lost mod for Azhag?
A: It should be, though note that these mods don't interact with each other in any meaningful capacity.

Q: Is this compatible with [INSERT MOD HERE]?
A: I can't promise compatibility with any other mods, though there shouldn't be any issues with mods that simply add units. Note that Deff Shamans/Giant Sea Troll Hags won't be given new skills if you use any hero overhaul mods, and any mod that alters the effects given by Waaagh trophies will likely have those effects overwritten by improved trophies.

Q: Can orcs even become zombies? I thought they were mushrooms
A: Yes, they can, but I'm not enough of a lore nerd to back this up with a source.

If you encounter any issues, or have feedback, please do leave a comment and I'll get to it as soon as I can. I have been made aware of a potential bug that causes a crash upon killing large numbers of greenskins, but haven't been able to reproduce this.

@RobertX13 Life's been kind of hectic the past few months, but I do intend to see about what needs to be fixed in the mod. The biggest hurdle is that I lack the debugging features to quickly identify what's missing outside of outright error messages, but your comment gives me a good place to start looking.

I intend to look at the mod by the end of the month, and if the problems turn out to be too big or annoying for me to fix, I'll see about handing the mod over to someone more active.

@7³ Hi, are you planning to update this mod to fix the missing or improperly implemented cursed scrap upgrades anytime soon? The Night Goblin Vintage Poison, the Looted Balefire Brazier are missing their discription and the Black Orc Executioner scrap upgrades is not implemented for Black Orcs. If you'd like my assistance fixing the cursed scrap upgrades or anything else relating to this mod please let me know, I'm not good at scripting but I can make db and text edits. Please contact me at your earliest convenience because I really like this mod and I want to play a Campaign with it, but without the bugs/missing features.

I have a suggestion, if you're up for it. I've suggested the same thing on the forums to be added officially, but so far to no avail. I don't know if it's feasible code-wise or anything, I know nothing about how mods work beyond getting them from the workshop and turning them on. Anyway...

Azhag is not a spellcaster in his own right. Would you be able to remove his magic skill line and give him full access to it like it currently works for Luthor Harkon once he equips the Crown of Sorcery or does the quest battle or whatever, without the need to spend skill points? You seem to have done something similar with giving him the Lore of Vampires and I think it would be cool.

I'm glad to see that you have returned and were able to update the mod. I have removed the mod as you requested; I apologize if it caused you any inconvenience. One last note: in the unit_purchasable_effect_sets_tables table, I think you should disable "is exclusive" since multiple upgrades can now be stored on the same unit, but... it's up to you.
