PROJECT VULCAN USER MANUAL

NOTE: Check Discord for a pdf copy of the manual with the complete character mapping.


NAVIGATION

Move the cursor with the arrow keys.

Hold RIGHT SHIFT while using the arrow keys to move the cursor 5 spaces.

Press TAB to skip 5 spaces.

Press BACKSPACE to remove characters.

Press HOME to warp to the top of the page.

Press END to warp to the end of the page.

RIGHT SHIFT + HOME to warp to top of the document.

RIGHT SHIFT + END to warp to the end of the document.

RIGHT SHIFT + ESC to clear the screen.


V-LIZA

Type LIZA and hit RETURN to start a conversation with Liza.

You can also type LIZA followed by a question or statement (then hit RETURN).

Once Liza is activated, you no longer need to type LIZA at the beginning of each statement or question.

To exit a conversation with Liza, type CIAO and press RETURN.

Liza is case insensitive.

Liza can check the weather, retrieve system information, play music, and many other things.


COLOR PRESETS

F1 - Dark Mode
F2 - Blue Mode
F3 - Green Mode
F4 - B/W Mode
F5 - Vapor Mode


CUSTOM COLORS

RIGHT CONTROL + NUMBER LINE [0-9] to change the current foreground color.

RIGHT ALT + NUMBER LINE [0-9] to change the current background color.

RIGHT CONTROL + RIGHT ALT + NUMBER LINE [0-9] to change the current border color (NOTE: this feature is experimental)

RIGHT SHIFT + RIGHT CONTROL + NUMBER LINE [0-9] to change the current foreground color and apply it to the entire screen.

RIGHT SHIFT + RIGHT ALT + NUMBER LINE [0-9] to change the current background color and apply it to the entire screen.

RIGHT SHIFT + RIGHT CONTROL + RIGHT ALT + NUMBER LINE [0-9] to change the current border color and apply it to the entire screen.

Color Mapping:

1 - White
2 - Blue
3 - Cyan
4 - Gray
5 - Green
6 - Magenta
7 - Red
8 - Yellow
9 - Orange
0 - Black (ERASE)


TEXT

VulcanOS comes equipped with 4 different font sets.

You can type letters and numbers, using the default set.

Use RIGHT SHIFT or CAPS LOCK while typing to generate uppercase characters and special symbols.

You can use RIGHT SHIFT or CAPS LOCK while using any of the font sets.

The additional font sets are there to help you make art, games, or whatever you can imagine!

Press RIGHT CONTROL to access font set 2.

NOTE: When RIGHT ALT is enabled, pressing RETURN will not move to the next line.

Press RIGHT ALT to access font set 3.

Press RIGHT ALT + RIGHT CONTROL to access font set 4.

Check the character mapping documentation to help find which key combinations make which character.


COOL STUFF

Use RIGHT SHIFT + LEFT CONTROL to enable or disable MATRIX MODE.

Use RIGHT SHIFT + BACKQUOTE to turn the FIREPLACE on or off.


TOUCHSCREEN

You can draw freely using the touchscreen.

Your currently active character, as well as foreground and background colors will be applied.

If you need to erase, hit the spacebar to change space to the active character.
