Rocket Division Units - SFO Submod

Description
Rebalances the Zharruki and Bazuki from Rocket Division - Units Only, primarily for use with SFO, though it is technically not required. I based their stats on Dwarf Irondrakes/Trollhammer Torpedos, Chorf missile units of similar tiers, and then heavily tweaked from there. You MUST subscribe to and enable the OG mod for all the assets and whatnot, this mod only adjusts their stats.

Overview:
  • Compared to their Dwarf counterparts they hit harder, have magical ammo, and slightly better melee stats. However, they are less tanky as they lack the Dwarfs' spell/missile resist and charge defense

  • Given how advanced Chorf tech is, and their ability to bend fire elementals to their will, they both have a bit more range and magical ammo

  • Reeled in some of the crazier aspects from the original mod, like Bazuki ammo having the Dreadquake contact effect (lol)

  • Removed the additional building requirement, as well as lowered the armament cost to increase their cap. These units aren't as crazy strong as they are in the base mod, so the additional barriers to entry didn't make sense anymore. Hopefully this also encourages the AI to recruit more of them, more variety = more fun!

  • Works perfectly fine alongside Hellforge armament changes for Chaos Dwarves, and I highly recommend it

Any balance suggestions are more than welcome!

If you'd prefer a more straightforward approach that keeps these units 1:1 with Irondrakes and Trollhammers, check out Sokitas' submod instead

Finally decided to make my own submod! Thanks to Venris and the team for SFO, and submodders like Jack O' Neil, El Papa, and GabeSky for keeping the dream alive and inspiring me to make this. I wouldn't have stayed active with these games or this mod scene for so long if SFO and all our wonderful submodders weren't keeping things fresh with new content!

Ah I didn't realize it was restricted like that, my b, lemme explain more thoroughly.

You need to have RPFM update the "rocket_division" table in the "cdir_military_generator_unit_qualities_tables,' do this by right clicking it and hitting "update table" in the drop down. Then you can type in the new format.

I reflexively did this before I updated the table, first time I've seen a table change format like this, so I didn't realize it was locked to only numerical values beforehand. Sorry bout that!

@RatboyW I went in but could only change the quality (7 and 9) to a numerical value, how were you able to put the "tier_3_step_3_units" in?

Just follow what I commented on the main mod, open the packfile with RPFM and change those entries

Hey man could you explain how you fixed the original mod so I could do it as well. I don't use sfo but definitely want to play with the rocket division mod itself.

Have you considered Shifting the some of the Bazuki's regular ranged damage to explosive damage? (with a price increase if need be), i feel the increased versatility would help further distinguish them from Trollhammer Irondrakes.

No, as technically speaking the mod itself doesn't require SFO to function, only the original mod. It's also version agnostic, since all it does is tweak their stats page to align with SFO's balance.

Hey @Cynical, as you just updated this, I can only assume you updated it for the 4.2 BETA of SFO, correct? Shouldn't it also list the SFO version this is for under "Required Items"?
