Sun and Moon Astral Game (Terrestrial Game included)

Description
A fan-made MLP:FiM strategy board game with elements similar to chess, but a feel all it's own. Included are the Astral Game board, the Terrestrial Game board, and both sets of the classic and alternate unit tokens. Links to the rules on both the Astral Game and Terrestrial Game are located in the in-game rules. Enjoy!

Note: The alternate token for The Sun Princess is the same as the classic token, so the alternate is not included due to redundancy.

Disclaimer: I do not have anything to do with the concept or design of this game. All credit goes to Dave Bryant (aka. Catspaw) for the creation of this game. All I did was make the mod using the game's assets.

Game looks cool, but a few problems:

1. As stated by Millstone, the alt pieces have no art on them.
2. The "rules" page does not, as stated in the mod description, contain links to the rules for either version of the game.

Beyond that, the game looks really cool. I'll have to give it a try some time!

Well, it is me again. Happy 2015!

I recently had to reload the mod and noticed the alternate pieces would come out blank.

The word does need to spread, especially since this game has the potential to become popular outside of the MLP fandom. The show did not invent the sun, the moon, unicorns, pegasi or princesses, after all. Okay, "earth ponies" closely tie it to its origins, but the game is still more friendly than, say, Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic Folder.

I hope your mod can become part of the All Things Chess collection. I have myself made a very simple mod for checkers as played in my country and one for a chess variant I came up with. Subscriptions show there is an interest for the former, not so much for the latter so far.

Agreed. I actually follow that game myself. It's very nice looking, and absolutely the best way to learn the rules. Only reasons I made this mod is to both spread the word of this game as well as have easy access to it while in TTS for a quick fix with a friend. The latter reason is probably gonna be the only reason for which I'll make another mod for this game.

You know, compared to another 3D version of the game ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/sunandmoongame ), this one is not quite as magnificent but it sure is a whole lot easier to follow.

Good catch. Funny thing is, I named the Alternate Sun Tokens "Moon" in the exact same way when editing the names of the loot bags. I just managed to catch it the first time, and assumed I wouldn't make the same mistake twice. Shows what I know. XD

It is very nice to see this game here.
One tiny little thing, though: alternate unit token bags are both labelled as Sun.
