This mod adds Youmu Konpaku (from Touhou Project) as a playable character in multiplayer. For more information on the character, look here:

Oh hey, a new Touhou model for once in forever. This one was done for reasons. One of the reasons being that it was actually rather simple to do in comparison, given what I've already done.

See, the Utsuho model I did was actually a model-edit of another one of Arlvit's (the original author) models. Conveniently, that included a modified version of Youmu's dress, meaning I could just use that instead of having to re-weight the dress to fit my animation method. As well, a lot of Arlvit's models use almost the exact same armature, meaning I could just base the skeleton off of my already-completed Utsuho. Otherwise, I'd have to go through the ordeal of taking the Youmu skeleton, translating all of the bone names, re-aligning all of the bones to fit the Sam animations (A lot of bones are completely backwards, and the torso is set up very differently), and adding any bones that may be missing. Not exactly an ordeal I'm thrilled to experience, so avoiding it for once was a nice change.

As for the character herself, I'm not sure if there'd be any nice way to add her spirit half. I have previously experimented with getting a modeled "myon" following the player around, but it wasn't able to get it to animate how I wanted. A particle effect for it could work... but I'd want it to fluidly follow the player around instead of being anchored to the player's entity.


Credit goes to "Arlvit" for making the original MMD model. Also, credit to whoever made that one particular set of voice clips I snagged from the Hisotensoku Voice Mod.


Planned Changes: (Protip: These never get done)
-Fix up the dress in the rest of the movement animations (such as swimming)
-Fix up all of the weapon holding animations so that she holds them properly
-LODs. Maybe, just maybe

-Separated a lot of resources into an external pack to cut back on filesize. Said pack (Touhou Player Resources) is now required to use the models.
-Added a variation to the Jump sound scheme
-Corrected the flags on a number of scheme sounds
-Added team colors to the Alt skin

Notice to mod-makers: Please do ask before using any part of this model in any of your own mods. There's a reason for a number of the design decisions, and most of it comes down to the original model's usage rules.
