Note from the author:

This map took well over 450 hours to create over about 6 months. It pushes the limits of what source engine is capable of, and as such it may not run well on lower end computers. A large chunk of those 450 hours were spent doing optimizations, so I can confidently say there is nothing more I could do to optimize the map further.

The linked_portal_door entity that this and other Penrose maps use has an incredible amount of bugs. It's extremely time consuming to work around all the bugs, and some of them cannot be worked around. Due to this, and other difficulties working with the base source engine, this will be the last Penrose map for the Portal 2 base game. Any potential future Penrose maps will be developed for Portal 2: Community Edition.

The map is good, but there's one critical shortcoming... This test plays out in an outdoorsy place with a clear view of the night sky, yet when I shoot the moon with my portal gun (like you do in the hit video game Portal 2™ which this map is made for), a portal did not place there. If you have not finished the main campaign of Portal 2, this critique is irrelevant to you, but for one who has finished it, the disappointment I felt nearly overwhelmed me. Despite this, I pressed through, ignoring this colossal (albeit minor) blunder, and I quite enjoyed the map. I pray that others like me will also overcome this test of spirit, because beyond this small mistake, the test is good! The puzzles are well thought out, challenging, and the game environment looks great. It is enough to warrant a thumbs up despite it's minor oversight on being accurate in accordance to Portal 2™.

cool map, not sure if i solved it the intended way though (not thinking with portals)

Very nice map! I found it easier than number 8 (mainly because the world portals in this one were easier to wrap my head around), but there were some very clever moves at the end and some nice portal management throughout. And of course the aesthetics were beautiful. Big thumbs up!

Awesome puzzle! The problem to me wasn't not knowing what to do, but not getting how to do it, or how to put the portals on the right places to do it :P

That's awesome! I'm glad you were able to figure it out. What did you think?

I did it! Before reading the hint :)

If you want a hint, think about what you had to do in the first chamber, you’ll have to use that move again
