The original Lee Enfield mod is not explicitly required, but it is recommended as the sound mod was designed for it.

I decided to make a cry of fear sound mod for this, since there was none present at the time of posting, and since Cry Of Fear's hunting rifle is an actual Lee Enfield. Hope you enjoy it.

I also know of a great script mod for this, if you want the closest experience to COF's lee enfield as possible.
