Michael Cole

Michael Cole joined the WWF in 1997 as a backstage interviewer and transitioned shortly after into a commentary role. He has served regularly in a play-by-play role since the late 90's and has been the voice of the WWE throughout multiple eras.

In late 2010, Cole turned heel on Jerry Lawler, leading to a match between the two at WrestleMania XXVII. Lawler seemingly emerged victorious only for Cole to be named the winner due to disqualification after the end of the match. He dropped the heel gimmick in 2012 after Lawler's on-air heart attack.
