Main Menu Framework

Main Menu Framework is an addon designed to add some interesting features to the main menu screen.


While the intention of this mod is to function as a "framework" of sorts, this mod does come pre-loaded with some things and is perfectly usable as is.

Ability to play video in the main menu;
Ability to play audio in the main menu;
Live swapping of video/audio utilising CBA settings;
There is also an option to use no audio/video.

The idea is for entities such as groups to be able to add their own assets to spice up the main menu - for times where the server refuses to work... No doubt because the admin didn't load a required addon correctly.

Video/Audio can be changed via Options > Addon Options > Main Menu Framework

This mod functions by creating a scene that the main menu can use - since this is a scenario being played, scripts can be used as normal. The BIS_fnc_playVideo function is used to play the video, creating an illusion that makes you think it's 2 dimensional.

Due to this, if you have any launch parameters that change the world or make it an actual 2d static background, this mod will not work. This behaviour can't be fixed on the mods end - that's up to you.

Setting video to "None" and then setting it to something else has no effect until refreshing the main menu. (restarting or going in and out of the editor)

If other mods are loaded that add their own main menu scenes, this mod may not work correctly.

Resolutions/Aspect Ratios that aren't 1920x1080/16:9 will not display the video correctly.
