[RDY] Belhira Class - Missile Frigate

After loses above solus-5 the RFN commisioned for a missile frigate to be created. the RDY Belhira was created to fit this gap in the fleet. It was first created as a testbed for new RDY missiles and weapons but it was rushed into service to bolster the RFN fleet defences. Soon after it saw combat against rival ships and the class proved to be quite reliable. After the initial failure of the SS-M1l anti ship missile it Belhira class was quickly outfitted with SS-M2l Missiles which are proven to be deadly against capital ships if not intercepted.

Altough having many flaws the Belhira class is still effective in combat, it carries 8 Ship/Ship-Mk2Large missiles that use a large grid warhead to bring massive damage upon enemy vessels but for the missiles to be reloaded it needs to visit a friendly station. And for its size the armerment of 6 Assault cannons that can be upgraded to artillery cannons if needed. The main flaw of the design is the lack of heavy armor and point defence weapons against fighters or enemy munitions. The Belhira class also lacks a jump drive but has the necessities to survive longer journeys. The Belhira class is the perfect defence for settlements against pirates or as a escort to larger ships.
