Description
The ES Vienna Mk III applies lessons learned from the creation of the ES Zurich Mk III to a battleship sized design. Remaining relatively lightly armed for its weight, with 16 Ion Beams á 6 aimable outlets, it functions as a highly defensive & precision focused build. Compared to the Mk II, the Mk III removes excess shielding & point defense to significantly improve energy management, shield sustain and speed. Together with the single Tractor Beam and the detachable nose, the Vienna can modify its relative speed to stay at optimal range according to the situation. Its defensive capabilities remain strong with its revised Shield Neck and remaining point defense.

A1:
The A1 version re-introduces 6 EMP launchers to address the match-up vs opponents of extreme shielding and extreme kiting capabilities.
Speed - ~86m/s (~95m/s detached nose), Crew - 286 souls, Cost - ~€2.247.750,-

B1:
The B1 version replaces the EMP launchers with an extra thruster module on either side to enable strafing, improve orbiting and provide better forward thrust to catch very fast targets.
Speed - 92,5m/s (~105m/s boost & detach), Crew - 262 souls, Cost - ~€2.254.300,-

The chain should be set up already, but maybe something changed along the update that broke old crew assignments. I've been hearing that a few times.
Glad you like it. I'm currently working on the new line of ES ships with heat tech.

Really nice ship, running the B1 version in my game at the moment and most enemies don't do much more than chip away at the armour section in the front which is easy to repair.

Only thing I'd say is it might be worth setting resource supply chain mode for the reactors => batteries, as at least in my game, the crew are kind of stupid and decided to jump out of the airlock to carry energy from the engines to the middle section. Worked perfectly after I set up the chain.

Thx, I overlay many different fades of the pretty much all the layers to achieve shadow shapes that would otherwise be impossible. But it's very difficult and relies on a lot of tricks. If you look closely around the middle reactor for example, you'll see some parts of the shadows look suspiciously blue. That's because they're not actually part of the shadow layer.

Bro, how did you get your shadows and transitions of color so gahd damn clean?
