Light armor is armor with no DV penalty!
Shields and bucklers do not count as armor

Only change from the original is the removal of the dodge roll skill as it does not work with how juke is handled in the modern game.

This fork was created without explicit permission from NatronSpore. If you are NatronSpore or someone in contact with them and wish for me to take this mod down, let me know and I will.

Any code in this mod may be used without credit or permission.

Known Issues
While the game still functions and all skills work as their description suggests, there are some unknown rare crashes or freezes that I am still tracking down and fixing. I have competed a full run with this mod so these changes are not significant but you deserve to know that these issues occur. I believe the crashes have been fixed as of my testing in the most recent patch

@Caesar thanks, its on my to-do list. Will most likely be updated after my armor re-balance mod and be combined with a heavy armor skill tree.

Armor has some significant design space limitations atm. Light armor is the only armor type that needs any assistance to be viable as it is missing high tier armor pieces (nanoweave vests are t6 and the highest tier 'light' armor chestpiece) and DV is a weaker defensive mechanic than AV. I am waiting until the next update before I resume armor balancing and adding a 'heavy' tree.

Wouldn't making armour flexiweaved, essentially make it behave like light armour (from my understanding?). But from a gameplay perspective, a skill tree giving advantages for restricted choice is fun sounding :D

If you want a proper separation that makes sense:

Light armor is armor that adds any value to the DV
Medium armor is armor that adds between 2 and 0 penalty to the DV
Heavy armor could be everything else

Otherwise even plate mail could be light through flexiweaving it.

i've been getting some occasional crashes with this mod enabled when entering the skill menu.

this is the message i get in the log right before the crash:
MODERROR [Light Armor [Fork]] - You do not need to set the display name of the skill
Light Armor, please remove the attempt to set it in XRL.World.Parts.Skill.Spore_LightArmor..ctor
