Requirements
Basic knowledge on how to edit a file with a text editor and how to set a file to read only.

Also don't forget your tinfoil hat.
Config file
The config file is located in AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Unity\c9db3951-d6c2-4a6a-8944-d38c41d27d88\Analytics

For Linux users the file should be located somewhere within ~/.config/unity3d/Eleventh Hour Games/

You can copy and paste this line into your windows search bar and it will open the right folder.
%AppData%\..\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Unity\c9db3951-d6c2-4a6a-8944-d38c41d27d88\Analytics
If for some reason this doesn't work for you, you can just type %AppData% into the search bar, go back one folder, and navigate your way from there.

Once you're in the Analytics folder you will see a file named "config", It may be set to read only by default so make sure it isn't for the time being.

Open the config file with your text editor of choice then copy and paste this into it then save. After saving make sure to set it to read only.
{ "analytics" : { "enabled" : false }, "connect" : { "enabled" : false, "limit_user_tracking" : true, "player_opted_out" : true }, "dynamic" : { "analytics" : { "shouldCollectAutomation" : false, "timeToWaitForUserInfoS" : 60 }, "coreBusinessMetrics" : { "enabled" : false, "timeToWaitForUserInfoS" : 60 } }, "performance" : { "enabled" : false } }

Note: If you would like to delete any archived analytical data on your pc, there is a folder named "ArchivedEvents" located in the same folder as the config file. You can safely delete everything in there.
Bonus
If you would like to block more analytics from Unity you can add these domains to your host file.

Note: redshell and treasuredata are not used by Last Epoch but are well known from previous complaints about data collection within games.

You can block "UnityCrashHandler64.exe" in your firewall if you'd like.

You could also change it's file extension to something like "UnityCrashHandler64.exe.bak", which will keep it from even launching along with the game. Verifying your game files or when the game updates will probably just redownload it though.

UnityCrashHandler64.exe is located in the games installation folder.
Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Last Epoch

For those that want to go a step further, you can request your information to not be sold.

When loaded into the game(by this I mean you can move around) press escape and from there click support. You will see a drop down list, select data protection requests. Within that form will be another drop down list, select do not sell my information, and fill out the required fields. At the very bottom of the form are two check boxes that you might as well uncheck since they're not needed.

My reply from EHG "We do not sell player's information but in the event that would change, I have added you to our "Do Not Sell" list. Rest assured we have no plans of changing this policy."
Updates
February 27th

Cleaned up the settings that go in the config file to make them more legible.

More Unity domains have been added since the first iteration of this guide. Most notably DeltaDna which was bought by Unity in 2019.

Fixed a typo for the domain treasuredata.com (was missing an a in "treasure" on line 3) in the bonus section. Thank you TomDooley for pointing this out. I have double checked the rest of the domains and thankfully they're all correct.

I finally got around to adding an update section.

July 11th

In the bonus section, I've added instructions on how to request your information to not be sold.

Nothing on my end has been reset due to an update. Make sure the config file is set to read only.

@Ωats That happens to me with or without these changes in towns sometimes, mainly in The End of Time, the rest of the time I get between 15 and 25ms. They've been working on fixing lag since launch.
