Crossed: Race/Start

The C-Virus has invaded the world of Kenshi.

This mod adds a new race with a custom start for players to enjoy. Inspired by the world created by Garth Ennis & Jacen Burrows, players can assume the roll of a squad of Crossed who have just became infected and are ready to unleash chaos across the landscape.

Description of the Cross Virus from the Wikipedia Page:

"Carriers of the virus are generally known as the "Crossed" due to a large, cross-like rash that appears on their faces – other names include "cross-faces" and "plus-faces". This contagion is primarily spread through bodily fluids, which the Crossed have used to great effect by treating their weapons with their fluids, as well as through other forms of direct fluidic contact -- while the Crossed are turned into homicidal violent psychopaths, they still retain a basic human-level of intelligence: thus, they are still capable of using tools and weapons, driving motor vehicles, setting complex traps, and other actions. It is occasionally noted in the series that a Crossed retains any skills they had prior to their infection; most simply lack the patience or sanity to do anything not immediately related to their vicious impulses."

This mod starts you off with a large squad of regular crossed with a small handful of Alpha crossed to lead them. The alphas dawn more savage armor and are much more experienced than the other standard crossed. The objectives of your warband are up to you. You can send them into the fray to kill many and die quickly, or you can attempt to have them build their own society among the desert sands.

Sadly, this mod does not contain an infection system, although I welcome anybody to use this mod however they like to expand upon it and add whatever features you think would be a fine addition to the world of crossed. This mod also uses assets from three other mods which are linked down in the credits below.
