Eastern Europe

Description
Eastern Europe 0.3.1
"Eastern Europe" is a mod that takes you into an alternate history, where you can play as one of eight countries liberated from Russian occupation.

How did this happen? The Belarusian intelligentsia proposed the idea of fighting for independence to the Ukrainian intelligentsia, and the plan started to take shape. Although it was dangerous and difficult, they managed to gain support from influential figures in Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.

After that, a plan was formed. Weapons were smuggled through Krakow into Poland, and negotiations were held with the Ottoman Empire, which was interested in weakening the Russian Empire. A Kartvelian writer learned of the plan through his connections and offered help in exchange for independence for Sakartvelo, successfully spreading the idea to Azerbaijan as well.

The plan was on the verge of failure, as Austrian intelligence quickly discovered the weapons smuggling operation into Poland and even threatened to expose it to Russia—but for some reason, they didn’t.

After all the preparations, everything was ready, and on April 14, 1828, following a declaration of war on the Ottoman Empire, the Russian Empire fell into a trap.

Ukrainian, Polish, and Belarusian troops within the Russian army began to create chaos and resistance in Russian regiments. Belarusians in various parts of Russia began setting fire to Russian factories. The Russian Baltic fleet was captured and burned. There was no longer any point in hiding the idea from the broader population of Eastern Europe—the war for independence had begun.

Kartvelians and Azerbaijanis actively supported the Turkish forces in the Caucasus in exchange for their partial, but real, independence. They would become Turkish protectorates… but they weren’t planning to stop there.
Russia faced numerous problems after the war was declared, and the borders of the newly formed countries moved closer to Russian territory, forcing the Russian government to act.

Meanwhile, Austria shamelessly invaded the territory of Turkish protectorates and issued an ultimatum. This forced the Ottoman Empire to yield, as—even though Russia was weakened—it was still a serious threat, and war against it was no easy task.

As Eastern European armies began entering Russian territory, Russia was forced to sign the Treaty of Brest, which ensured that Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, Sakartvelo, and Azerbaijan would no longer be under Russian control.
