Description
ATS200 "Tarantula" Gun-Launched Missile Platform

The ATS200 is a unique tank with decent protection and mobility, and excellent firepower. With SACLOS missiles that reach out to 2km, you can accurately destroy every kind of target, including slow flying aircraft. The coaxial auto-cannon will help deal with smaller threats in an emergency. With 8 laser sensors to guide the missile smoothly, 8 missiles in storage, and 8 road wheels for quick manoeuvring and speed, it's no surprise this vehicle is named after the king of all spiders. You might be familiar with the AT100 posted nearly 3 years prior to this one, before the Weapons DLC with a very similar functional cannon. This is the successor after I challenged myself to make gun launched ATGMs. Happy hunting!

Information:

  • Missile Range of ~2000m
  • 8 missiles stowed +1 ready
  • Small explosive warhead
  • SACLOS Guidance
  • Magazine-Ramrod Autoloader

How To Use:

  1. The gunner's seat is on the righthand side of the turret. You can control the optic using the touch-screen joystick (hold interact and drag) or through 'WASD'. 'Up' and 'Down' controls the optics zoom.
  2. When fired with 'Space' the missile will leave the barrel, accelerate, and begin guiding shortly. Keep the reticle on the target and use the touch-screen for fine adjustments and tracking. The missile is most accurate to within the circle when fully zoomed-in.
  3. Press '2' to reload up to 8 times. If the load fails, you can continue to press '2' until a successful reload or use the access hatches in the turret to manually reposition the missile into the loading tray.
  4. If the wind is greater than 15, the missile's effectiveness is greatly reduced, so try to limit firing in adverse conditions or on the move.

  5. To drive the vehicle, use the left-hand seat. 'WASD' accelerates and steers the vehicle.

Be aware that injury caused by the vehicles missile exhaust is not technically service related and is not compensated for within veteran health insurance.

This vehicles uses NO XML modifications, and is entirely vanilla. Please enjoy!

NOTE: The missile uses a reaction wheel for stabilization, but it is not necessary for operation. If you have the space DLC your missiles will be slightly more stable :)
