Following the success of the Comet in Europe, Cumberland sought to make its re-entry into the U.S. market with a 3-wheeler similar in concept to the Aptera.[aptera.us] Using many of the same parts as the Centaur allowed it to be developed rather quickly, unlike its contemporary. The Quasar made waves with its radical design and low price for an EV of its quality, efficiency, and performance.
