A locomotive NS purchased in the 1942 for express trains from Oerlikon in Switzerland, however the war delayed the delivery of these locomotives until 1948, by which time NS had requested several modifications. Several of these locomotives were also produced under license by Werkspoor in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The locomotives proved to be experiencing increased wear on their wheels, tracks and lubrication issues. Due to this the locomotives were pulled from 160km/h express trains to slower 100km/h freight trains. While being a troublesome series they were kept in service until 1982 due to the locomotive shortage NS experienced in the 1970s and 80s. One has been preserved at the railway museum in Utrecht.

NS 1100

Availability: 1950 - 1999
Max speed: 130 km/h
Power: 2030 KW
Weight: 80 tonnes

Skins included: NS blue, NS turquoise, NS yellow gray, SNCF green, SNCF Beton gray, SNCF Beton gray with window stripes

As NS electrified a large part of it's railway network after WW2 there was a need for electric locomotives. Initially renting locomotives from the SNCF and LNER until the large NS 1100 locomotive order could be fulfilled. The 1100 series were based on the SNCF series BB-8100. The locomotive rode rather rough during it's service, rough enough that several engineers were thrown from their seats in rough tracks. This and the terrible crash safety led to NS paying drivers hazard-pay whenever they rode on the 1100s. To remedy these issues the 1100s were fitted with a crash nose starting 1978. As the NS 1600 was introduced in the 80s the 1100s were moved into secondary roles such as freight or as backups.

NS 1100 Crash Nose

Availability: 1978 - 1999
Max speed: 130 km/h
Power: 2030 KW
Weight: 83 tonnes

Skins included: NS yellow gray, NS blue yellow

An NS 1100 fitted with a safety nose to improve crash worthiness. The 1100s series were gradually retired starting 1991, when NS 1700 locomotives were delivered to gradually replace several locomotive series from the 50s. In 1999 the last 1100s were retired. Several with and without nose were preserved. The SNCF BB 8100 series on which the 1100 was based off was eventually retired in 2011 by which time their only duty was to remove ice from the overhead wires during winters.

Locomotives to add in the future (no idea when, I'm not that fast with modding):

NS 1200, 1300, 1400 (unbuilt), 1500, 1600P and 1600

@Predatortoast707 My current plans are to finish an NS electric and diesel locomotive pack, then do some NS passenger wagons and finish an RET public transit pack. After that I plan on doing NS EMU's. Don't expect an ICM very soon is what I'm trying to say.

could you please make the ICM train next?
