Description
Part 1 of a collection of uk high street shops

This mod contains

10 AI place-able shop sets - era-B (the ai has different sets based on the vanilla era.)

12 Place it yourself shops

Numerous assets

Assets can be found in the Madhatter category (top hat)

The place it yourself shops have the options to
place with or without assets
level the terrain (or not)
make a street connection
Scale up / down
Set the capacity - how many people can work in the building

If you use the scale up down option don't place with assets because they will be in the 'wrong' place.
so if you want to place with assets then make sure the scale is set to 100%

Most/All the assets used are also individually available and can be placed with scaling.

Updated 07th March 2024 - placeholder block in Philpots yard is now replaced with garage.

if you deleted all the commercial buildings in your town it unlikely that they will come back. This mod just gives the AI the choice to use these buildings.

Need more pubs and at least one dodgy nightclub! Other than that its a fantastic set of buildings and makes my towns look actually lived in, bloody good job!

yep I copied vanilla one whilst testing and then I deleted it prior to posting the mod forgot I was actually using it. I'l get it sorted.

I think the offending item in the Philpots .CON file is this:

["mdhtr/shops/ind_1_1x2_01.mdl"]

It looks to reference a UG building that isn't in the mdhtr/shops folder so presume it should read
"building/era_b/ind_1_1x2_01.mdl" or similar, or perhaps the line doesn't need to be there at all?

If I comment it out, then the placeholder cube disappears.

These are great - there are a few issues with some of the placed assets:


1. The brick walls to the rear of Philpot's either don't join properly at the right angle or they need to rotate 90 deg to line up with the others.

2. There's a placeholder cube by the door at the rear of the Allsorts Emporium.

3. The gallery building (saddlery) has the Renault from the Allsorts Emporium at the rear - just visiting perhaps? - or should it have the plain version?
