Carvanha + Sharpedo

A wild Carvanha appears! Hailing from the seas of the Hoenn region, this ferocious fish Pokemon is small but fierce, hungering for battle! When it sinks its fangs into its foe, it gains meter until it can evolve into the mighty Sharpedo, becoming stronger and faster! Be careful not to get hit, though.

An additional solo Sharpedo version will also be released.

NEUTRAL SPECIAL: TAKE DOWN
Carvanha performs a powerful tackle, but takes damage from the impact. When evolved into Sharpedo, this move becomes SKULL BASH, which does not take damage and gains super armor when used. If the opposite direction is held during the windup, the move can switch directions.

SIDE SPECIAL: AQUA JET
Charge up and jet forward with great speed, blasting away foes. The more you charge it, the further it goes. Sharpedo's version goes further and deals more damage.

UP SPECIAL: WATERFALL
Carvanha charges upwards while surrounded by water, damaging opponents. Sharpedo's version travels higher and deals more damage.

DOWN SPECIAL: DIVE
Carvanha dives into the water, becoming temporarily invincible, and resurfaces to attack. While held down, you can move left or right. Sharpedo can stay submerged longer and move further. Additionally, you can change direction when you resurface by holding the opposite direction.

SPECIAL MECHANICS
Carvanha is a very small and light fighter, focused less on killing enemies and more on dishing out damage and building up meter in order to evolve. Carvanha's attacks gain extra Ultra Meter when they hit, and even some when it takes damage. When it evolves into Sharpedo, its speed and strength are improved and its Specials are enhanced, though it loses its extra meter gain. Carvanha is a risk-reward character who seeks to evolve as soon as possible and confirm kills as Sharpedo.
