I would probably prefer using no points in x marks untill level 10 if you have a guarenteed disable or if the enemy team don't have quick escape mechanisms (blink,force staff and etc).
if you want to focus on ganking and pushing then drums are an excellent item because it gives really good stats and movespeed. Blademail kunkka is horrible, same for medallion kunkka.
If you have runes then you should be able to 1 boat per min.
