MT-50 Stenbock MBT
===========================================================================
=Lore=
With new threats comes new developments and as such the ESDF command decided a new MBT was needed, this MBT needed to have heavier armor but be smaller than the current tanks in use but also it needed to have anti-personnel weapons, something the current tanks lacks since IFV was intended to accompany these tanks.
The MT-50 Stenbock is a medium tank built to replace the ESDF current LT-80 Tanngrisnir MBT as the MT-50 is built as a more capable tank platform and due to the earlier CV100 with its modular turret program the turret of the MT-50 can be mounted on the CV100 chassis too and vice versa, this was by design as the turret was at first tested on the CV100 chassis before it had its own chassis made for it.
Stenbock is the Swedish word for an Ibex and this was chosen as ESDF tanks are named after goat breed with its first MBT was named after Thor's goat Tanngrisnir however the name tanngnjostr was harder for the design team to pronounce so the name Stenbock was chosen instead.
