Description
Updated version 2024

Changes:

* Code optimization; a bit less overhead for DS.

* Small-grid radar should now work properly.

* Activating a radar block will output default options in CustomData if they aren't there yet, so you can just edit those.

* If the target grid has an antenna or beacon, and you set OnlyPowered on, you will get their name (even if the antenna range is less than the radar range), otherwise you will get their grid identifier, if it's known.



Remember, this is an ACTIVE radar, and counts as a beacon, so if you can see them - they can see you.


Options (Case sensitive!) to be entered in Custom Data are:

NoAsteroids - Do not show voxels (also NoRoids)
NoCharacters - Do not show lifeforms (astronauts, critters) (also NoLifeforms)
NoStations - Do not show static grids
NoShips - Do not show movable grids
NoHud - Do not show GPS-based HUD in cockpits
PassengerHud - Do show GPS-based HUD in cockpits that are not being controlled (Using both only shows HUD to passengers, useful for a navigator's console)
MinimumSize:(integer) - Only show blocks bigger than X, useful to not display debris. For reference, an astronaut is size 2. The default for this is 2: to get size 1 and 0 objects, specify it. Note that lifeforms will always show unless specified not to. (Also MinSize).
MinimumDistance:(integer) - Ignore anything within X meters of the radar. (Also MinDist or MinDistance)
OutputLCD:(lcd name) - Show list on LCD.
TriggerSoundName:(sound block) - Play sound when something has been detected.
OnlyPowered - Only show grids if they have power. Useful to reduce debris spam. (Also NoUnpowered)

Belekai - Just weld this block to your grid and get into a cockpit. You will see other grids nearby as GPS locations. Works well @ at 3km of distance

NightShift - I could make another model for this project in Blender if Spiritplumber like.

a.mcbob - Can't C# myself, i should ask for help someday cause the idea is good

a.mcbob - I dont' have acces to the original 3d model gonna need to create another model to fix this

Just realised the only mount point on the whole block is in one corner. Would be really nice if the entire base could be mountable, please

Very handy! I'd appreciate a way to change the colour of the signal displayed on the HUD, though, please. Right now it's the same as all my owned grids, which is a bit confusing.

LuPen - The mod you may be looking for is this one:

It's not very precise and easy as this mod but it gets the 50 km you want.

I respect the work of WaponCore mod, but i personally don't like it, so i don't use and never tested it. I'm not the original author of this mod i just fixed it to make it keep working.

Is it possible to increase the radar distance to more than 50,000m? I would like to increase it on my server. Thank you very much in advance.

It's not a weapon, doesn't affect damage, unrelated to turrets... I can't imagine it would conflict with WeaponCore in any way.
