So for Latif, Nanook, and Yona - having writing for relaxation gives them no benefits because they were never given the trait - Inspiration/Writing. I played with editing the 3 characters by adding the trait to them and everything works fine now. I recommend either switching out their relaxation for writing (currently giving them no bonus or benefit through a playthrough) or update the 3 characters by adding the Inspiration/writing trait.
I'd like to use the writing skill since I know how, but also not sure why tinker is coming up and now I'm interested in looking at characters that have it as well.
I agree with @Oldwolf; the chars are a bit OP. I personally like survivors with a quirk (-), & stat totals around 13. So if they have a stat above 4, the other skills are very low or they have a handicap.
