New Update:

Added two new deposits with their own jobs.

The Deep Mantle Exotic Hyperforge, producing dark matter, living metal and nanites.

The Biosphere Preservation Webbing, a gaia-world unique deposit available to regular and hive empires. Produces Zro.

Most recent update also fixed some broken modifiers. (pop growth and country-wide)

Planetary Mega Engineering is a mod where you will build powerful planetary megastructures that make planets considerably more valuable and strategically important.

Unlock the decisions that allow you to build these powerful deposits by researching the required technologies.

The deposits themselves range from space elevators and orbital defence networks to orbital robotics assembly labs, planet-wide energy infrastructure and much more. Most deposits are available from the the moment you research their technology tier, but some are connected to ascension paths.

This mod was created with tall empires in mind or people who simply want planets to matter more than they do.

The mod is intentionally overpowered and is intended to be used with other overpowered mods.

Supported Version and Compatibility:

Version 4.X

Wilderness origin not supported.

This mod should work with most other mods as it does not overwrite any files.

If you get crashes, even if the mod says it's out of date, test the mod on its own. Most likely there's another mod that overwrites base game files and breaks this mod (or is causing crashes on its own). If you find a mod is incompatible after testing on your end, make sure you include the name of the mod in your comment.

KNOWN ISSUES:

Newly found and working on:

Some jobs appear after the update but pops refuse to fill them. Will fix asap.

Long running (want to fix):

#### ANY planetary action that wipes deposits will remove this mods deposits as well. EX: Ecumenopolis completion.

This includes starting the game on a planetary diversity planet with this mods custom origin. ####

Something odd. Latest game I played as a Hive Mind. For some reason when I built Subsurface Forges and later when I built the university whose name I can't remember the new jobs did not fill. I had nearly a thousand Maintenance, showed 1.5K jobs unfilled, but even when I flagged the jobs as a priority they didn't fill.

Oddly enough, there were two different entries for whatever they call Forge drones and also different entries for the three different kinds of Brain Drones - three fields of research, two separate entries for each.

Everything worked fine for my Machine group mind last game. Not sure if I got my lizard empire up that far so mo clue on that.

That's an idea I've wanted to test for a while, I'm not sure how easy or hard it would be. Definitely will be trying to add that as one of the next few structures I work on.

Love the mod.

I usually play 'tall' and my latest game ran into Empire Size early for some reason. Would it be possible or advisable to add something like 'Galactic Administration' that aids with keeping Empire Size lower?

A few of the jobs had either their named or functionality changed, science directors are for sure one of them. I need to figure out how the new ones work and re-do the implementation. Or just make custom jobs. Maybe both.

to follow up i have played some other empire types, aside from hive mind, and everything else seems to work including the ascension exclusives. only other job issue i noticed was "science directors" but that may have been from another mod, im doing machine intelligence now so i havent been an organic in a few days.

i found the reason the foundry drones don't fill - the base game inline script for adding alloy jobs for gestalts (including hive) was changed to job_fabricator_add, and this mod didn't change the inline script, thus adding a job that the game does not check for anymore. it is a 5 second change to solve.

For the sake of keeping track I have unfilled culture workers, with multiple government types, and then the foundry drones for organic hiveminds will not fill. Everything else I've seen has worked. I have been mainly using the biological ascension recently so I have no info on the other path specific jobs.

Love the mod btw, been using it since I found it last year

I can't really help you since I don't know what's going on in your game. Did you research the deposits? Are you using the right game version? Does your planet have the required population and any other pre-requisites to build the deposits?

Perhaps most importantly, are you using a wilderness empire? That's isn't supported. Maybe in the future, but right now it's not.
